Lost Little Ones (transformed children)
The Lost Little Ones are the Zuni children who, crossing the sacred river in the care of the Beloved Twins, fell into the water and were transformed into frogs, lizards, turtles, and newts. In their new forms they learned the Dance of Good (Kókokshi) from the god-priests of Kóthluwalawan, becoming the kachina spirits who return to the village.
