Lougawou
Lougawou is the Haitian Vodou werewolf/shapeshifter. By night, a practitioner (usually female) sends out her soul or transforms into animals (dog, cat, bird) to attack enemies or drain blood. Distinct from the fireball Loogaroo; lougawou emphasizes animal transformation via Vodou ritual. Related to Dominican Galipote (shapeshifter of animals and objects). Feared as a nocturnal predator.
