Luison

monster · Uruguay · South America

Luison (Luisõ) is the seventh and most accursed son of Tau and Kerana in Guarani mythology (Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia). A giant dog or werewolf-like being, he haunts cemeteries and burial grounds. The seventh son of a human family is believed destined to become Luison; Argentine presidents historically served as godfathers to seventh sons to avert the curse.
