Luus
Luus are water-serpent guardians of Mongolian folklore, with iridescent scales, sometimes horns or wings, guarding lakes, rivers, and sacred springs. Benevolent if respected, malevolent if their waters are polluted, they govern the land's fertility. The complex spans Luz/Lusad, terrestrial and subterranean water-spirits, and Luu, heavenly dragon helpers in ritual tradition.
