Lygtemand
Lygtemanden (the Lantern Man) is the Danish version of the will-o'-the-wisp — a small being carrying a blue gas-flame lantern that lures travelers into bogs and marshes. According to Danish tradition, the Lygtemand is the ghost of a dishonest land surveyor who moved boundary markers, condemned to wander until all false boundaries are corrected.
