Malsumis
Malsumis is the evil twin brother of Gluskabe in Abenaki tradition, born from the divine dust of Tabaldak's hands alongside his brother. From birth, Malsumis resented his brother and plotted to destroy him. He created only evil — dangerous animals, thorns, and crooked rivers that flooded the land. He tricked the animals into revealing Gluskabe's secret weakness (that he could only be killed by a blow from a fern root) and attacked his brother. Gluskabe was saved by Grandmother Woodchuck, eventually defeated Malsumis, and turned him into stone, where he remains as the embodiment of all that is
