Mama Glo, also known as Mama D'Leau or Mama D'Lo, is the Mother of Water in Grenadian folklore. Of African origin, she is the wife of Papa Bois and the guardian of all rivers and water bodies on the island. She is described as having a beautiful woman's upper body with long hair and a golden comb, and the lower body of a massive snake. She lures people into the rivers where she lives, using her beauty and enchanting presence.
