The Mannegishi (also known as Awwakkule, Nirumbee) are the Little People of Crow and Cree folklore—small, bald humanoid beings with large bulging eyes and tiny tan bodies. They are tricksters who live in rocky areas, along riverbanks, and especially in the Pryor Mountains of Montana. These beings are known for playing pranks, stealing objects, and sometimes more malevolent acts like stealing children.
