Mari
Mari is the supreme goddess of Basque religion, a powerful spirit associated with caves, mountains, weather, and the cycles of nature. She appears as a beautiful woman or a terrible dragon and may bring blessing or destruction, rewarding respect and punishing violation of her taboos. She is the central figure of Basque mythology, with her consort Sugaar beneath her.
