Marid
The Marid are the most powerful class of jinn in Arabian tradition — mighty, proud and rebellious spirits of smokeless fire, often bound to water and the sea. Blue-hued giants in the Thousand and One Nights, they can become invisible, shapeshift and grant wishes, but twist them maliciously; some serve as guardians of hidden treasures. They loom large in the Sinbad voyages and tales of the deep.
