Matau
Not independently attested as a named eel deity of Fijian folklore. While eels (waqawaqa, duna) are widely sacred in Fiji — Degei, the great serpent of Nakauvadra, and the guardian eel of Naqali pool being documented examples — no source records an eel spirit called 'Matau'. The entry appears to generalise the region's sacred-eel beliefs under an unattested name.
