The Milkman of Pieter Both

According to a popular local legend, the distinctive rock formation at the peak of Pieter Both Mountain is actually a milkman who was turned to stone. The milkman used to sell milk in the surrounding villages and once took a shortcut through the mountain. While resting, he witnessed fairies dancing and singing. The fairies warned him to keep their existence a secret, but the milkman betrayed them by telling his friends. As punishment, the fairies turned him into stone, forever marking the summit of the mountain
