Mbwiri
In Gabon (Fang and related groups), Mbwiri is a possessing spirit that inhabits individuals, manifesting through trance, song, and epileptic-like fits. A shaman builds a hut where the patient and assistants dance to flute and drum for ten days to two weeks; Mbwiri 'abhors good living' and is driven out by the ordeal.
