Mimi
The Mimi (Mimih) are tall, extremely thin spirit beings of Arnhem Land and Kakadu who live in the rock crevices and escarpments and are so delicate that a strong wind can break them. They are credited with making the first rock paintings, and with teaching Aboriginal people painting, hunting, and cooking. Usually shy, they can be dangerous if their places or pets are disturbed.
