Minotaur
The Minotaur is a monster of Greek myth, a man with the head and body of a bull, born of Pasiphaë and the Cretan bull and known as Asterion. Confined by Daedalus in the Labyrinth beneath Knossos and fed on human tribute from Athens, it was slain by Theseus with the aid of Ariadne's thread. Its story may encode Minoan bull-cult and the palace's intricate architecture.
