Momoy
Momoy are small, bearded duende-like guardians of water sources, rivers, forests, and agricultural lands in Venezuelan Andean folklore (Mérida, Táchira, Trujillo). Mischievous but protective; snip can summon heavy rains. Leave offerings to gain favor. Blend of indigenous Timoto-Cuica beliefs and Spanish duende traditions. Documented in Venezuelan regional folklore collections.
