Moon (Tłʼéhonaaʼéí / White Shell Girl)
Tłʼéhonaaʼéí, the Moon, is the female celestial of Navajo (Diné) tradition, the younger sister and companion of the Sun Jóhonaaʼéí, with whom she was created from the sacred minerals of the universe. She is also known as White Shell Girl, carries the moon across the night sky, and her cycles mark time within the Diné ceremonial year.
