Moon God (Guarani)
The record conflates two distinct Guarani figures. The genuine 'moon' being is Jasy Jatere, 'little piece of the moon,' the fourth of the seven cursed children of Tau and Kerana: a blonde child with a golden staff who sleeps by day and at noon lures children who nap into a trance, guarding yerba mate and the siesta. The Kurupi-like traits recorded belong to a different, unrelated monster.
