Moon Maiden (Cherokee)
Not independently attested in Cherokee folklore, and doubly misattributed: the Cherokee are a Southeastern nation, not Canadian. Cherokee moon tradition concerns nvdo svnoyi ehi, the Moon, brother of the female Sun, whom a giant toad (Walosi) swallows at eclipses, and who is addressed as a woman, Age'yaguga, in sacred formulas. No Cherokee 'moon maiden' nature-spirit exists in any source.
