Moose Ancestor-Spirit of Miwok
Not independently attested as an ancestor-spirit of Miwok folklore. Moose are absent from the California Sierra where the Miwok live, and Miwok traditions center on Coyote the trickster and other animal beings. No source records a moose ancestor-spirit 'guardian of the skies' in their tradition. The traits recorded appear to derive from modern speculation.
