Moose Deity of Aztec
Not independently attested as a moose deity in Aztec folklore. Moose are not native to Mesoamerica, and no Aztec source records a river-guardian moose god. The closest genuine figures are Mesoamerican deer and water deities, such as the Mazatl deer symbolism of the Aztec calendar and the lake spirits of central Mexico; the moose appears to be a northern animal grafted onto Aztec myth.
