Moose Deity of Lakota
Not independently attested as a deity of Lakota folklore. Moose are not native to Lakota plains and Black Hills territory, and no source records a moose god in Lakota tradition, which reveres Wakan Tanka, White Buffalo Calf Woman (Ptesan Wi), the Thunder Beings and the trickster Iktomi. The traits recorded appear to derive from modern speculation.
