Not independently attested as a guardian of Apache folklore. No source records a moose guardian spirit among the Apache. The real mountain-dwelling guardian spirits of Apache tradition are the Gaan, the Mountain Spirit (Crown) Dancers who appear in ceremony to heal, protect and teach the people. The traits recorded appear to derive from modern speculation.
