Moose Water-Spirit of Paiute
Not independently attested as a water-spirit of Paiute folklore. The real water-beings of Paiute tradition are the dangerous water babies (pit-u-u), long-haired spirits of springs and lakes that lure people to drown and serve as spirit helpers for shamans. No moose water-spirit appears in any source. The traits recorded appear to derive from modern speculation.
