Moose Guardian (Mapuche)
Not independently attested as a moose guardian of Mapuche folklore, and wrongly tagged as Mexican. The Mapuche are a southern South American people; their true nature spirits are the ngen, 'owners' of each place and element — Ngen-mapu (earth), Ngen-ko (water), Ngen-wingkul (hill) — created by Pu-am and obedient to Antü. No moose appears anywhere in Mapuche tradition.
