Moose Nature-Spirit (Mixtec)
Not independently attested as a moose nature-spirit of Mixtec folklore. The Mixtec are indigenous to Oaxaca, Mexico, not Guatemala, and moose are absent from both regions' traditions. No Mixtec or Maya source records a lake-guarding moose spirit. The closest real figures are Dzahui, the Mixtec rain god, and the water-owner ngen-like spirits of Mesoamerican mountain lore.
