Moroi
Moroi are the vengeful spirits of dead unbaptized children in Romanian folklore, who return to haunt their families at night, draining life force and bringing illness. As souls denied proper Christian burial, they embody fears around infant death and the power of unfinished rites. The term also names a class of Romanian vampiric undead related to the strigoi.
