Mountain Giant (Tupi)
Not independently attested as a giant of Tupi-Guarani folklore in Canada: the Tupi are a Brazilian people, and this record wrongly assigns them to Canada. Genuine Tupi-Guarani forest beings include the hairy giant Mapinguari, the guardian Curupira, and the serpent Boitatá. No source records a 'mountain giant' among them. The traits recorded appear to derive from modern speculation.
