Moura Encantada
Moura encantadas are enchanted women of Portuguese folklore bound to megalithic monuments, who appear as beauties with golden or black hair combing their tresses and singing beside springs, dolmens, and cromlechs. They guard hidden treasures and may reward or punish those who encounter them. Documented by José Leite de Vasconcelos, these beliefs have guided archaeologists to ancient sites.
