Supernatural beings in Portuguese and Galician mythology, believed to be an ancient race that inhabited the land since the beginning of time before being forced underground for unknown reasons. The Mouros work gold, silver, and gemstones in subterranean forges beneath hills and ancient castro settlements, guarding enormous treasures protected by dragon-like cuélebres.
