Muldjewangk
Muldjewangk is a malevolent water spirit of the Murray River region in Aboriginal tradition, dwelling in deep pools and the lower Murray and Lake Alexandrina. It capsizes boats and drags the unwary under, and the stories warn children against swimming alone in deep waters while some accounts cast it as guardian of the river's secrets.
