Mỵ Châu (Princess of Cổ Loa)
Mỵ Châu is the tragic princess of the Âu Lạc kingdom in Vietnamese foundation legend. Married to Trọng Thủy, son of the Chinese invader Triệu Đà, she revealed the secret of the magic crossbow built from the Golden Turtle god's claw, and the kingdom fell. Her father King An Dương Vương slew her; her blood became pearls only Trọng Thủy's well-water could cleanse, and he drowned himself in it.
