Myromskåna
Myromskåna (the Bog Woman) is a female marsh spirit from Setesdal folklore in Sørlandet. The myromskåna dwells in the extensive bogs and marshes of the Setesdal valley floor and leads travelers astray into dangerous mires. She appears as an old woman dressed in grey rags, often beckoning for help from the edge of the bog. When someone approaches to assist, she leads them deeper into the marsh until they become trapped in the quicksand-like mire.
