Mzé Moya is the Comorian creator deity who descended from heaven to shape the volcanic islands, bringing water, vegetation, and life. Venerated in Comorian oral tradition (ngoma ya Mzé Moya), he establishes the sacred bond between people and land. Associated with Mount Karthala's fertility. Name from Swahili mzee (elder) + moya (spirit/air). Documented in Comorian folklore collections.
