Nahuelito
Nahuelito is a Patagonian lake monster of Nahuel Huapi Lake, Argentina. First reported 1897 by Dr. Onelli; 1910 Garret sighting (5-7m serpent). 1960 Navy 18-day sonar pursuit. 1988 photos in Río Negro newspaper. Described as giant serpent, huge hump, or plesiosaur. Name from Mapuche 'nahuel' (jaguar). Indigenous antecedents likely; cryptozoological status unresolved.
