Nalusa Falaya
Nalusa Falaya, 'the long black being,' is a feared shadow creature of Choctaw tradition. Usually a tall, gaunt humanoid with small eyes and long pointed ears, it is said to slither like a snake or melt into dusk shadows, frightening children who stay out too late and waylaying lost hunters, sometimes passing on its harmful power with a thorn. Its young drift as small lights along the marsh.
