Namdalsdraugen
Namdalsdraugen (the Namdalen Draug) is a sea draug specific to the Namdalen coast and the Namsenfjorden area of northern Trøndelag. Namdalen has a long and rich fishing tradition, and the Namdalsdraugen is the embodiment of the dangers of the Namdalen coast, one of the most treacherous stretches of water in Norway. The Namdalsdraugen is said to be the combined spirit of all those who have drowned in the Namsenfjorden and along the Namdalen coast.
