Namorroddo
Namorroddo are malevolent shapeshifting spirits of Arnhem Land Aboriginal tradition, vampiric beings that strike at night, sinking their claws into sleeping victims and transforming them into new Namorroddos. Tied to the shadows and darkness, they embody the dangers of the night world in Australian Indigenous belief and are invoked in warnings to the unwary.
