Nash Bear
Not independently attested in any recorded Native American tradition of the United States. No published ethnography, tribal narrative, or reference work documents a spirit called the Nash Bear, and the entry appears to be an invented or garbled figure. Honoring the bear as a powerful relative, however, is genuinely widespread across Algonquian, Siouan, and Iroquoian nations alike.
