Natravn
Natravnen (the Night Raven) is the ghost of a wicked person or unbaptized child in Danish folklore, condemned to fly as a raven with holes in its wings until Judgment Day. Unlike the intelligent Valravn, the Natravn is a damned soul trapped in bird form, endlessly flying from west to east trying to reach the Holy Sepulchre before cockcrow. Looking through the holes in its wings means immediate death for the viewer. The Natravn was created when a conjured ghost's term expired — if a 'klog mand' (wise man) summoned a ghost to answer questions, and the ghost failed to return to its grave before t
