Vietnamese tradition mythologizes horses, but not as cosmic steeds pulling sun and moon: the iron horse of Thánh Gióng, the white horse as a sun symbol at Phù Đồng temple, and the White Horse God (Bạch Mã), said to guide Lý Thái Tổ to build Thăng Long citadel. The recorded horses 'whose hooves make thunder' are not independently attested; the entry mislabels real horse-worship as a water spirit.
