Nina
Not independently attested in Sudanese folklore by this name. Nina is described as a Nubian fertility spirit who appears as a beautiful woman or as water itself, protecting mothers and children and honoured in naming ceremonies. The closest documented beings are the Nubian water angels, malayket al-bahr, and the banat el Hur of the Nile, spirits of river, birth, and household.
