Nisse
Duplicate of nisse-denmark (slug #29). The Danish household spirit (nisse, husnisse, tomte): small, bearded, grey-clad, red-capped, dwelling in barns and lofts. Protects farm animals and property for Christmas porridge (especially buckwheat boghvedegrød with butter). Fastidious: missing butter triggers vengeful cow-killing.
