Noaidegažži
Noaidegažži (also saivogažži) are the helper spirits of the Sami noaidi (shaman), sent to perform tasks, gather information, and fight other noaidi's spirits. These spirits can take the form of birds (saivoloddi), fish (saivoguolli), or reindeer bulls (saivosarvvát — the strongest form). The noaidegažži assist with healing, finding lost people, predicting weather, locating reindeer herds, and combating evil spirits.
