Nyikang
Nyikang, son of Kang, is the semi-legendary founder and divine ancestor of the Shilluk people. Said to be born of a human father and a crocodile naiad, he crossed the White Nile into Shilluk country, established the kingship, and later vanished into the river. Shilluk kings are believed to inherit his spirit, tying every reign to his living memory.
