Glacial Nykur
The nykur (or nennir) is a water horse from Icelandic folklore, documented by Jón Árnason. It appears as a beautiful grey horse near lakes and rivers, but its hooves are reversed. Anyone who mounts it becomes stuck fast and is dragged into the water to drown. The creature can be defeated by calling its true name, causing it to lose power and vanish.
