Octopus Water-Spirit (Wolof)
The Octopus Water-Spirit is a Wolof (Senegalese) water spirit, not Cameroonian — the Wolof are a Senegalese ethnic group with some presence in Cameroon. It protects swamps, commands storm calling and weather control, and drowns intruders. Land binding, freezing, and specific rituals counter it. The spirit's octopus form reflects its swamp habitat.
