Od Iedeh (Fire Spirit)
Od Iedeh is the Evenki (Siberian Tungusic) fire spirit, mistress of the hearth. Appears as a face in the flames or an old woman made of fire, sometimes riding a fox. Must be respected with offerings; protects the household, aids cooking and warmth, but burns the dwelling if insulted. Communicates through crackling flames. Central to Evenki shamanic practice.
