Odin
Odin (Odinn) is the chief of the Norse Aesir — god of wisdom, poetry, war, and death. Icelandic sources, chiefly the Poetic and Prose Eddas, preserve the fullest accounts of his myths, including his sacrifice of an eye for wisdom and his winning of the runes. He rides Sleipnir, is flanked by ravens Huginn and Muninn, and gathers the battle-slain to Valhalla.
