Ogun (Ògún) is a primordial Yoruba orisha of iron, war, blacksmithing, hunting, and technology. He cleared the path for other orisha to enter Earth with a machete and dog. Patron of warriors, smiths, drivers; oaths sworn on iron invoke him. Venerated across Yoruba, Dahomey, Vodun, Candomblé, Santería. Not a water spirit — his element is earth/iron.
